1. Asphalt and cement are two of the most wicked inventions of the western world
Cement and asphalt is the white mans vein attempt to imitate the Earth and create rock and stone. Nice try. Its ugly and harmful and disrupts harmony. Had cement and asphalt never been created the global warming problem would be cut in half! It changes the weather for crying out loud! While cutting out the use of fossil fuels has to be a priority, the use of cement and asphalt is so often overlooked as one of the largest contributers to global warming and disruption of the Earth's balance.

Cute cartoon, but with all due respect and aloha, hardly a laughing matter.

2. I understand the horrible impact of asphalt and cement
That's the point of the joke. It's called sarcasm.

4. You are right. I feel horrible.
I should have thought about it more before posting.

6. Don't feel horrible
We all (I think) feel that way at times, I know I do ... particularly when thinking about the precarious state of the global ecology and the high level of human apathy about it.

And welcome

3. I'm sorry
That was very confrontational and judgmental and full of negative energy. You were right to post the cartoon as it sends a clear message and was meant to improve people's disposition. I'm just personally horrified at what all the cement and asphalt is doing to the Aina. (Earth) I will meditate on ways to communicate my concerns more constructively. Mahalo.

5. The Earth is mighty. Don't count her out!
I've seen a single winter's snow and ice and wind rend asphalt to pieces.
