1. Very Cool - But

I suspect that it'd be fairly unsafe on today's roads - the draft from an 18-wheeler would likely toss it in a ditch.

(If every car on the road was like it, we might be allright)

And it's a VW - so the electrical system is a clusterf#@&.

2. It's impractical as a two seater

There has been a lot of interesting work done on high mileage vehicles (motorcycle mavin Craig Vetter has done a lot of things here, I believe), and 100+ mpg certainly isn't an unrealistic goal. Unfortunately it would be hard pressed to meet federal safety standards. There are some great high-mileage, small cars in Europe and Asia, but that doesn't mean I'd feel safe in them at 80+ mph surrounded by the idiots I see driving everywhere.'

The technology isn't enough. Besides, its already there. Rather there needs to be a systemic change in how men cope with inadequacy issues. :)

I agree with the safety issue but I'm sure it could be made safer and maybe with more space. It would be even a start if most cars only needed 3 litre per 100 km.
If they increase the space for this car, it would be enough to do your daily business, small shopping tours or for short tours to school/work instead of cars that need 8 to 10 litres.
It's kind of cool if you only had to pay like 8 Euros for a full tank instead of 80+ Euros and getting similar distances.

5. Nice form factor for an EV commuter

Here is their 3L production model. I think they have stopped production on it (for now).
