It's been a rough week.

The bus fair was raised another 25 cents. That makes it 3 bucks for a daily pass.

So many people were cut loose this week because they can't make it in anymore. They live to far away.

Mary's job at the supermarket seems safe, thank god for her discount.

Got good rain this week. The barrels are full. Tomatoes and cabbage are growing well.

Down to a cord of wood, have to get more.

Two more neighbors moved away. 3 people voted at the meeting this week to use the lawns for planting.

Another clash down by the border. More refugees trying to cross. It's really bad down there now.

Had a bit of a back ache from weeding. Got my teeth checked. Nice of the dentist to take half coin half food.

Beyond that, sunny day, temp in the 80's.

1. Those U.S. citizens trying to cross into Mexico really have it tough.

Even if you have your papers in order and can prove you are just passing through to greener pastures in South America, the Mexicans don't want you there.

A bunch of farmers from Kansas died in the desert last week, trying to sneak pass the Mexican Border Patrol.

2. actually I'm referring to the refugees from the

Mexican civil war of 2011. After the Cantrell Field collapsed, all the oil revenue dried up. The rebels down in Chiapas(sp) began moving north.

The folks in Kansas starting moving out late last year do to the drought. We've been relatively lucky (if that's what you want to call it) here in Austin. We've actually gotten rain. When the temps started climbing after china put their coal burning power plants online in 2010, things really took a turn for the worst.

the amazon is having worse drought now than the one they had in 05.

3. Everyone thinks it'll be better somewhere else.

I guess that's just human nature.
