Mothers of Iraq soldiers join Idaho protest at Bush speech
02:46 PM MDT on Wednesday, August 24, 2005
Associated Press

NAMPA -- Brenda Mansell of Boise kissed her 20-year-old son goodbye yesterday afternoon as the Marine left for his second tour of duty in Iraq.

This morning, she stood outside the Idaho Center in Nampa with about 150 other protesters calling on President Bush to bring her son home.

Mansell says Bush has yet to give "concrete answers" why her son and other members of the U-S military were sent to Iraq.

The anti-war demonstration was the fifth in Idaho since Bush arrived in the state Monday to vacation before addressing military members and their families this morning at the arena in the Boise suburb. <snip>

1. Yes!!! My relative
and I love her so. One gutsy gal!

Her son was in one of the first "kill" squads to retake Falluja. He scraped up the remains of some of his buddies.

2. Don't you just love this paragraph!

I know; I was at two. Some friends went to McCall to spend with relatives & ended up staying for the Donnelly protest.

4. I wish there had been some simultaneous protests
here in Pocatello. ISU started on monday and I switched my Master's program, so I need to make a good impression and attend class.
