Two bombs explode under Russia commuter train

We are having a very busy Summer.

ROSTOV-ON-DON, RUSSIA - At least five people died and 30
were injured when two bombs exploded under a commuter train
in southern Russia on Wednesday.

been a bit lazy on following Russia/Chechnya lately, though alternating between Russia Journal's Chechnya page and Chechenpress/Daymokh(insert obligatory foul curse on Babelfish's Russian-to-English translations) it seems military confrontations have been especially active in Chechnya all throughout the summer (and of course the "cleansings" and mass kidnappings and torture/executions by the state authorities).

and on a bizarre and surreal note that only they can produce, Pravda blames Chechens for the recent blasts in Iraq.

2. What I have noticed is

there is something (almost) every day,
it's not just limited to Chechnya,
it's scattered about S. Russia. There was
a piece a day or two ago about how Chechens in
Ingushetia were going back home because it
was not any safer in Ingushetia now.

There seem to be firefights regularly too,
which suggests some parity of arms, which confirms
information I have read elsewhere, that like with US
forces in Iraq, supply to the troops on the ground
is lousy.

I don't spend a lot of time on it, there is
nothing I can do and there are many other
things of interest, but I have a definite sense
of shit sliding downhill ...
