Description:
A natural gas leak caused the evacuation of a business and some apartments Thursday afternoon in the area of 13th and Drexel Streets. Battalion Chief Jack York of the Omaha Fire Department said workers from the Metropolitan Utilities District were on the scene about 4 p.m. trying to find the source of the leak and shut it off. They evacuated the Triangle Bar at 6801 Railroad Ave. and some apartments above it, said Mari Matulka, spokeswoman for MUD. She said service should be restored by midnight.
