Bomb Squad Robot defuses suspicious bible in Sayville, NY

SAYVILLE, N.Y., May 5 (UPI) — A suspicious package left in a woman's car parked at a New York flea market proved, when opened by a bomb squad robot, to be a Bible.

Amram Attias, owner of the Attias Flea Market and Jewelry Center in Sayville on Long Island, told Newsday that police asked everyone to move their cars out of his lot Friday after the package was reported. The lot was cordoned off.

Attias said a small crowd of curious people gathered during the four hours it took to solve the mystery, and watched when the robot removed the package.

They used their robot and determined it was a Bible, Attias said. God bless us.

Police logged the good book as evidence.
