LONDON: A jailed extremist Muslim cleric named by Britain's
government as a key influence on one of four men who
carried out the 2005 London transport bombings was
deported to Jamaica Friday, the home secretary said.
Abdullah el-Faisal, a Jamaican-born convert to Islam, was
placed on a flight to Kingston, Jamaica Friday afternoon,
Home Secretary John Reid said. He said el-Faisal was
barred from re-entering Britain.
