(SD) National Guard low on equipment
Jun 16 2007 9:51AM
Associated Press
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) A spokesman says the South Dakota National Guard only has 54 percent of its equipment available.

Major Orson Ward says 22 (m) million dollars worth of equipment was left behind in Iraq and Afghanistan, contributing to a total drain of more than 100 (m) million dollars in equipment.

Ward says leaving equipment overseas is just part of the reason.

He says the Guard has never been fully funded for equipment. ~snip~

1. Bush has irresponsibly wrecked the National Guard,
the Reserves, the Regular Army and the Marines, all of our ground forces. It will take us at least a decade for our military to recover from his reckless misadventures. All he has left is the Air Force and the Navy, but of course that is enough to mount an attack on Iran - as his pal Lieberman has urged.
