Suspicious package detonated after robbery in Tampa


Around 11:50pm Sunday night at the Blockbuster Video Store located on 8416 N Armenia Ave a man entered the business and approached the counter.

He demanded the employees to open the safe or he would blow up the store.

He produced a white package with wires taped to it and placed it on the counter.

Responding units secured the parking lot and business and the Tampa Police Department Bomb Squad was requested. They responded and ultimately had to detonate the device on scene finding it to be a fake bomb.
