Man arrested in Cablevision bomb threat
Man arrested in Cablevision bomb threat

A Westchester County man was in jail last night after he threatened to blow up a Cablevision building because he was upset about interrupted cable service, police said.

Arthur Lull, 44, of Valhalla, pleaded not guilty yesterday in First District Court in Hempstead to a felony charge of falsely reporting an incident.

Lull called Cablevision five times Wednesday beginning at 7:46 p.m. and identified himself as a customer, police said. He was upset that earlier in the day his cable service lines had been cut, and the cable repairperson wanted to charge him a fee to fix the line later that afternoon, police said.

After the first call, Cablevision began to tape the conversations, which eventually escalated into a specific threat - made to a customer service representative - to blow up the building at 2 a.m. Thursday, police said.
