SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) - A new commander of the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay is expected to take over by about May or June, a spokesman for the detention mission said.
Navy Rear Adm. David M. Thomas, who is currently the director of joint operations for the Norfolk, Virginia-based U.S. Fleet Forces Command, will replace Navy Rear Adm. Mark H. Buzby, who was posted to the U.S. Navy base in southeast Cuba about six months ago.
