Joe Lieberman recently remarked on Face the Nation that "Our enemies will test the new president early".
Mr. Lieberman, I must respectfully disagree. You see, it is due to the catastrophic failure's of your buddies at the Bush Administration, we are forced to throw away a bottle of water at the airport, yet we constantly hear of knives and "bombs" getting past these same "security" screeners, despite scientific proof that it is a near impossibility to make a bomb out of ordinary liquids.
Mr. Lieberman, thanks to the White House, we are now having our phones tapped, our e-mails read, our privacy blatantly violated, all in the name of national security. Mr. Lieberman, the government has successfully rallied an entire nation against an entire race of people, and are now afraid to even go out to get the mail. And now they have the audacity to smear a man who has come from nothing to become the Democratic nominee.
Mr. Lieberman, we are now forced to carry our liquids in a ZipLoc bag before we get on an aircraft, yet airport employees can carry their lunch with them past the screening point.
Mr. Lieberman, we are afraid of everyone and everything these days. If you ask me, the terrorists have already attacked, and have won. The effects of this will be felt in the next Administration. And the next. And the next. The effects will be felt for generations to come. We will not be attacked again Mr. Lieberman, for we have lost the battle of ideals, and that is EXACTLY what they wanted.
