They tortured because that is their political interest in order to look 'tough' and recreate the 'soft on national security' stigma on dems. That's the overarching rationale going forward. It's their last hope as a political party and they know it.

So what is going to happen..they will drag out someone that tortured and is willing to be a 2nd Ollie North. We'll all be subjected to a bunch of hiding behind the flag rhetoric, and they will never have to answer any real intelligence issues because that would actually be harmful to national interest.
