Union threatens to force down petrol prices - Nigeria
Abuja - Nigeria's main trade union warned on Thursday of fresh protests over rising fuel prices following a meeting with state governors and industry representatives.

Adams Oshiomhole, president of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), told Reuters that if fuel marketers failed to reduce pump prices to 34 naira (about R1,80) a litre by Tuesday, the union would take matters into its own hands.

"We have resolved if by next week Tuesday the marketers have not fully reverted to 34 naira, we will review the situation and mobilise all Nigerians in all parts of the country and go and enforce these prices in filling stations," he said.
