The Gila River Indian Community, with 11,257 enrollees, counted 11 murders. By comparison, major Valley cities averaged slightly more than seven killings per 100,000 last year.

The Navajo Nation, America's most-populated reservation, reported 63 murders among 275,000 enrolled members for a rate of 23 per 100,000. The Hopi Tribe, with 10,474 enrolled, had no homicides.

1. What Native culture was like BEFORE we Christians "discovered" it!!!

I'm working on a new web page inspired by the fantastic book by David Stannard, "American Holocaust" , which shows how and why THE BAD GUYS WON, and it wasn't the fittest who survived, but the most vicious and immoral!!!! I highly recommend this fantastic book, which shows that honoring Columbus is no better than honoring Hitler or Stalin!

2. Victims or assailants or both?

Homicide rates are generally higher among poor people; the stereotypical reservation has pretty much all the risk factors you could ask for.
