More Enemies for the NRA
Time forr the racist imbeciles who head the NRA to galvanize their inbred mob to attack yet another bunch:

"Lane broke down as he spoke of the shooting that left him permanently paralyzed. As he sat in his mother's car last February at a red light in Northeast, he and a friend were shot in the back of the neck. Both were paralyzed.
Members of Coaches Against Gun Violence, a new group trying to reduce the number of shootings in the city, stood by his side Friday as he fought to speak. The Alliance for Justice, a 24-year-old Dupont Circle-based organization that promotes civil rights and justice, recruited coaches from eight public high schools for their new anti-violence program. The coaches each chose one game to dedicate to a victim of gun violence and to spread the word about the dangers of handguns.
"We were looking for mentors of young people in the community," said Alliance for Justice President Nan Aron. "Coaches seemed like a natural group. They play such a crucial role in the lives of high school students."
Roosevelt Coach Daryl Tilghman stood with the crowd around Lane as the paralyzed youth spoke from his wheelchair. Tilghman said he has been attending more funerals for people under 21 than for people over 60 recently, and he blames the trend on the easy accessibility of illegal handguns. "

1. They're coming out of the woodwork!
More insidious and dangerous foes of liberty the NRA can add to its idiotic enemies list:

"The Gun Violence Prevention Center of Utah and supporters gathered today at the Jordan International Peace Gardens to remember victims of gun violence.
They view gun violence as a major public health issue, that needs to be dealt with.
Melissa Owens lost her 12 year old brother Jake last month in South Jordan.
Today she joined others in planting daffodils at the Peace Gardens, to honor the victims of gun violence. "

6. Joining the thugs of the YWCA against guns.....
"A former member of the Aryan Nations who renounced racism and now speaks out on building a peaceable kingdom.
A Downtown vigil to honor loved ones lost to violence.
A workshop teaching girl cliques to respect each other and sessions on how to protect women and children from violence and abuse.
All are part of a Week Without Violence, which began yesterday and runs through Saturday. The event, in its ninth year, is sponsored by the national YWCA and is included in an international campaign that has spread to all 50 states and more than 40 countries.
According to Cecilia Griffin Golden, head of the YWCA of Greater Pittsburgh: "When acts of violence become the norm, it is a sign of a degenerating society, in our case a city and region. We have got to work collaboratively to help those who are victims as well as those who victimize." "

7. Heh...
they might be better off teaching their players that bullying is unacceptable, so that bullied kids don't feel a need to shoot somebody.

8. Add these cops to the NRA's blacklist!
"(W. Columbia) Oct. 23, 2003 - Police visited schools Thursday to talk with students about gun violence as part of a national campaign. Officers asked students to sign a pledge to avoid violence.
The problem is still a persistent one. The West Columbia Police Department says two-thirds of all sixth through twelfth graders said they could obtain a gun within 24 hours.
Sixth graders are signing a pledge saying they'll never use a gun and they will use their influence to encourage their friends to do the same.
The West Columbia Police Department is also sponsoring a gun turnover program. Residents can drop off any unwanted or broken guns plus ammunition to officers on Thursday. They'll properly dispose of the guns. They'll also be passing out free gun locks to anyone who needs one. "

9. Chalk Up 100,000 More Enemies For the NRA to Rage About
"The effort is part of the eighth annual day of national concern about young people and gun violence, KMBC reported. The program is designed to teach students that through leadership, they have the power to stop violence.
A former gang member spoke Thursday at Central High School about his experiences and how violence has been a part of his life.
"I had a brother killed; my children's mother was murdered," said Ossco Bolton. "What I try to do is bring that experience to the table."
According to the Pledge Web site more than 100,000 students promised this year not to use guns. Last year, more than 3 million students signed the pledge. "

10. The YWCA's sinister co-conspirators
RKBA crowd, mark these tyrants down (snicker)....

"Twenty guns were taken off the streets Thursday during a gun buyback at the Burlington Depot.
A joint effort between the domestic violence shelter, Des Moines County Attorney's Office, Des Moines County Sheriff's Office, Burlington and West Burlington police departments and Burlington Crime Stoppers, the gun buy back was part of Week Without Violence, held each October during Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Sometimes, domestic violence and handguns go hand in hand.
Saturday night, a rural Burlington man died from a self–inflicted gunshot wound following an argument with his girlfriend. James Ralph Lundquist, 54, shot himself after his girlfriend called sheriff's deputies to report the domestic dispute.
Week Without Violence ends Saturday with "Swim Against the Tide of Violence," a free open swim at the YM/YWCA. Set for 2 to 4 p.m., the event is open to children and families. Children under age 8 must be accompanied by someone over the age of 16. "
