The pick is from the late 80's I believe pre assault weapons ban.

3. Wow....
Look at the one on the bottom. The pistol gripped Mini-14 looking thing. That's a BB gun. A crappy one at that. My brother had one of those, and it was a total POS. Notice the cut in the stock area just ahead of the magazine well? That is not present on a Mini14, which uses a solid peice of wood.. Also, you would be hard pressed to find a Mini-14 with any grain highlights in the wood stocks they come with. Also check out the size of the "magazine well". Way too small. If you look at the photo gallery on that website, you will see another spread of seized weapons. That photo has a BB gun it too. An old Benjamin pump air rifle.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for illegally held weapons being removed from the hands of gang members, but it seems like whoever set these photos up is going for maximum PR points by exaggerating the number of "deadly" weapons taken up.

4. In all fairness...
If the photo was totally aimed at "PR points". Then they should have moved the two AK-47 style guns up top down into better view. (There is one with no stock, and one with a thumbhole style stock, wayyyy up top) There is also a Tec-9 type gun up there. I had to digitally brighten and magnify the photo to see all that though.

Maybe they just didnt know that the funky mini-14 thing was a bb gun when they laid it all out for photos.

That being said, most of the guns on the table are walmart specials. The true "Gangbanger weapon of choice" guns are whatever the hell they can get ahold of. If anything this photo demonstrates that criminals are not picky. They've got bolt action rifles in the mix for cripes sakes.

Thought that was becoming the new criminal weapon of choice.

6. Pic is from the 1980's
Although the Barrett M82 was made first back in 1982.

7. Look at all those assault weapons!
We should be banning all break-open action assault weapons. The action should only be allowed to open after you've removed six screws. Why do you need to shoot more than one shot ever 5 minutes anyways.
