Upper West Side Shooting Leaves Four Dead
NEW YORK — A man, his son and his grandson were found shot to death in an apartment in an upscale Manhattan neighborhood Thursday, with a female relative wounded and a fourth man, possibly the gunman, found dead in the backyard, police said.

The three dead family members were found in the third-floor apartment, police said. They were investigating whether the fourth victim, found dead from a fall off the fire escape, was the gunman trying to flee the scene.

A 49-year-old woman, who is related to the shooting victims, was hospitalized with a head wound, chief police spokesman Paul Browne said.

1. "Detectives suspect that the shootings were drug-related, he said."
From the story you linked. Sounds like the guns may not have overpowered the people here, driving them into a murderous rage all by them selves as you would have us believe, onehandle.

6. Stupid? Dishonest?
You and onehandle are the ones of the opinion that removal of firearms would somehow have prevented this crime, are you not? That this crime somehow wouldn't have happened had there been no legal ownership of firearms?

Given that, how exactly do you expect people to look at that assertion and NOT think that you both somehow feel firearms have some strange ability to influence the minds of people to commit crimes they otherwise wouldn't commit with some other implement?

Please, tell me if I'm wrong about how you view this situation.

4. Yes. I posted that the guns overpowered the people. Guns have supernatural powers.
Oh, and thanks for noting that guns and drugs go together.

5. And thanks for admiting your rediculous thought process.
Because you seem to be of the impression that the guns here are the major problem, and that somehow without them the drugs and crime would vanish. So no, I didn't note that "guns and drugs" go together. I noted that illegal behaviors can lead to violence. Your problem is that people were shot, and it seems to end there. My problem is the situation that lead to this occurring in the first place. The "War on Drugs," poverty, poor education systems, etc. The real issues behind crime.

So unless you're now attempting to deny that you are of the opinion that the key to reducing crime is reducing the number of firearms owned in the country, regardless of legality of that ownership, then my original assertion of your thought process still stands.
