Would-be robber shot in home invasion on Hilltop
An apparent home invasion went wrong today for two suspects when a Hilltop resident apparently shot one of the suspects, police said.

Two men knocked on the door of 177 Haldy Ave. about 2:21 p.m. and asked for money, Columbus Police Sgt. Eric Pilya said.

One of the suspects then took a resident to a back room, where the would-be robber was shot, Pilya said. His wounds were life-threatening, and he was taken to Mt. Carmel West hospital.

1. Little early to be drawing any conclusions though.
Could have been a legit home invasion where a family was terrorized and at justifiable fear for their lives, or it could be a drug deal gone wrong, etc.
