3. I have say the comparison is rather misleading

The thing with iatrogenic deaths is that, while they do occur, they occur while trying to treat medical conditions that, if untreated, would very likely result in death or permanent disability. The stat on the number of iatrogenic deaths is frequently wielded by advocated of complementary and alternative "medicine" (CAM for short, aka "sCAM") to illustrate how dangerous "western" or "allopathic" (i.e. science-based) medicine is compared to CAM, but the distinction is that CAM doesn't do any good, whereas science-based medicine demonstrably does.

So a more valid comparison would be to weigh the cost of lives lost to medical error against the lives (and livelihoods saved), and compare that to lives lost to firearm negligence and weigh it against the lives (and livelihoods) saved thanks to private ownership of firearms.

I think that we should arrest and prosecute all doctors caught with children, in order to prevent the further demand for the services of doctors in regards to future children.

After all, no one can tell ME that it's worthwhile to allow any child to be treated by any doctor, when the risk of death by doctor is so high!!
