Gun fired on Chapel Hill school bus
CHAPEL HILL (WTVD) -- Chapel Hill police arrested a student after a gun was fired on a school bus headed to Chapel Hill High School Thursday.

Police got the report of the incident around 10:45 a.m. Chapel Hill only had part day classes Thursday, and that's why the bus was operating so late in the morning.

Officials said after the gun was fired, the student got off the bus and ran into a nearby neighborhood.

Chapel Hill High and three other nearby schools were put on lockdown as a precaution while police looked for him.

3. I have a link to a story about a successful act of gun defense.
But it will cost you $7.95 for the first minute and $3.95 for each additional minute.

6. Actually, according to the linked story, it's the other way round
Police arrested 18-year-old Aaron Mario Small just before 11:30 a.m. A .22 caliber revolver was also recovered.

Friends of Small say he was trying to get revenge after losing a fight with a gang member.

"The suspect had kind of lost the fight," one friend said. "So he came back to school with his own weapon and decided to get revenge and shoot back at the student."

<...>

Some parents say they are concerned the school is not doing enough about some recent gang activity.

Well, at least this time onehandle posted a story about an actual firearm, not a BB gun.

11. Which makes him a thug. I live down the road
and these (gang affiliated, or their little hangers on) morons come to chapel hill and carrboro and fuck up a perfectly nice place. He should have called the police or gotten a TRO if he had a problem.

He should , and will be, prosecuted.

12. Don't bother, posters like the one who put this up
don't have a clue how the real world works in regards to firearms.

To him this is every bit as valid a story about a "gun use" as one that actually deals with people not prohibited from carrying a weapon.

10. Let me guess
This guy was a model student, got straight A's, was turning his life around and was a LEGAL CCW holder, right?

Or, he's just a thug with an illegal weapon, carrying it illegally (Which is against the law by the way). I suppose we need more laws to prevent this kind of thing.

14. I never had a problem.
The state ccw gets you the pistol over the counter, on the spot.
