There ya have it. Hes not talking about the magazine, hes talking about the handgun itself. What hes quoted as saying is an outright lie.

Does anyone really think theyre the choice of the "flatfoot" (city cop/sheriff) by and large, because your average flatfoots job is "killing and injuring a lot of people quickly"...or that your average LEO would use them if theyre "they're not suited for personal protection"?

How can anyone support them, even if they dislike the nra and guns?

Mayor Helmke's grandfather, Walter E. Helmke, had also served as Allen County Prosecutor and had been the Allen County Republican County Chairman. Walter E. Helmke was also one of the leading candidates for the Republican nomination for Governor of Indiana in 1948 but was defeated at his party's state convention. Walter E. Helmke also has the Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne main research facility building named after him.

Mayor Helmke's brother, Mark, has served as Press Secretary to U.S. Senator Richard Lugar, as a Washington lobbyist, and as a staff of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Mark Helmke is a former reporter for the Fort Wayne News-Sentinel.

And always remember how Democrats lost many close elections because of their position on Gun Control which usually was the same as the views of the Brady Campaign.

If the Brady Campaign can stir up support among Democrats for ideas like banning Glock pistols they can help the Republican Party have a better chance of gaining control of both houses and the Presidency in the next election.
