Gun control supporters - How much is enough?

You got the NFA. Heavily restricts automatic weapons shortbarrel shotguns and destructive devices.

You got the GCA. No more mail order gun sales. No gun or ammunition sales to those under 18 or handgun sale to those under 21.

You got the hughes amendment. Closes the NFA registry.

You got the brady bill and background checks at retail.

You got prohibitions on mentally ill, domestic abusers and violent felons.



How much gun control is enough?

And more importantly, by what metric do you detmine that there is enough?

A conviction for Assault in the Fourth Degree against a household member, and you lose your guns. I believe this stems from the 1996 Lautenberg law, and comparable laws obtain in every state.

Anything short of a total ban is simply a step along the way. The proponents of gun control, the charters of their organizations, their writings and statements have made that clear from the beginning. Anyone who claims otherwise is a liar or a dupe.

The vast majority of people wounding or killing others by gunfire don't own guns legally and sure as hell won't own insurance or carry a card with them.
