MY doctor does NOT want to know about guns in the home

I went and saw a new doctor today and HE brought up the topic of government, healthcare and government intrusion into the medical practice. He said he does not think it is appropriate for the government to try to impose gun control (those were his words) thru questionaires asked of the patient during initial examination. I am a 50yo male partially disabled and he told me he just skipped over that portion of the questionaire because it is not his job to aide the gov in gun control.

The government does not require physicians to ask about guns in the home. Any doctor who tried to pull that bullshit is the real intruder and should be reported to the medical board. It's not his or her place to foist personal beliefs on patients. I wouldn't let him near me or my family.

Have you seen the questionaire the SS administration sends to the doctor to ask the patient in the assessment process for disabilit? I have, I saw it today. The question is there, are there any guns in the household.

He and I were discussing the form and I welcome his personal input. There is noting to report to the medical board.

Extensive internet search of official ss disability questionnaires doesn't turn anything up regarding guns. If mental instability is one of the disabilities, it is perhaps a very pertinent question to ask, however.

17. It wasn't in the application process

it was in a doctors visit set up by the SS people, their doctor sent to by them. The doctor said it.
There is a psychological eval and it was during that portion.
