NJ judge gives man who was kidnapped in case of mistaken identity permission to carry-a year later
MORRISTOWN, N.J. — A New Jersey businessman who was abducted at gunpoint in a case of mistaken identity has been given approval to carry a concealed handgun.

Sixty-one-year-old Jeff Muller of Newton won the favorable court ruling Thursday in state Superior Court in Morristown.

The Daily Record of Parsippany reports the judge found that Muller showed a justifiable need based on his fears that he might be targeted by relatives of the men charged in his kidnapping.

Muller was abducted from his Newton pet food store in January 2010 by three men who tied him up and drove him to Missouri. They mistook him for a man of the same name who'd cheated an acquaintance in a business deal.

How nice of NJ judge. :sarcasm:

Glad I live in PA where I just paid $20 today to renew my permit for 5 years.

1. I wonder what security arrangements the judge has....
and why the commoners must beg permission to obtain them?

2. You may be a victim of a violent criminal and have no previous justified need to carry ...
a firearm.

How many women are raped by total strangers? Why should they be denied the right to protect themselves?
