The law is the law but where is justice and common sense?

The DA there needs to be dragged out of his office, taken by helicopter to a remote island somewhere and left there by himself for the rest of his life so that we may reduce the risk of anybody else in society being infected with his extreme form of idiocy.

I think most gun owners approve of and want tougher penalties for gun crimes. We have all been screaming about enforcing the laws and making sure they are procecuted and get the full prison term.

But how is this Felony Criminal Mischief and why (if it is) would bringing a gun to school be punishable with a shorter prison term?
