Shawano gun shop tries again to hold off closure
http://www.jsonline.com/watchdog/watchdogreports/124115379.html

A Shawano gun store that lost its license in 2007 but has been allowed to continue selling firearms is asking again to stay in business as it takes its case to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Shawano Gun & Loan's federal firearms license was revoked for repeatedly failing to keep accurate records and for making suspected straw gun sales, according to U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives records. In such sales, guns are sold through someone with a clean record to felons and others prohibited from buying them.

But the store was allowed by federal regulators and later a judge to continue selling firearms because of special rules passed by Congress that protect even lawbreaking stores.

Earlier this month, the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled ATF correctly revoked Shawano Gun's license. The appeals court rejected the store's request for an evidentiary hearing, which could have dragged out the appeal for months or years.

3. Sounds like your beef is with due process. Is that another protected right you wish to circumvent?

I'm not commenting on Shawano, but really this issue has nothing to do with guns and is a due process issue.

Oh, that's right. Bill of rights doesn't apply when it's inconvenient.

"what idiot passed a law protecting lawbreaking gun sellers?"

Someone with similar thinking to the "idiot" that passed a federal law against forced self-incrimination that protects even law breaking individuals.

And the one that protects even lawbreakers from unreasonable search and seizure.
