Quincy woman injured by bullet shot through floor, officials say

A man at a Quincy apartment allegedly shot a bullet through the floor by accident, injuring a woman in an apartment one floor down, officials said.

Joshua Perry, 26, accidentally fired his roommate Christopher King’s gun on Friday night, injuring the woman in the hand. He was arraigned in Quincy District Court on Monday on several charges.

King works at an armored car company, and had left his .40-caliber gun on the living room table after work, he told officials. He and Perry began drinking, then went to a Red Sox game, and when they got home around 11 p.m., King went to bed, said Quincy police Captain John Dougan.

Perry pointed the gun at the wall and thought it wasn’t loaded, Dougan said. The gun jerked, sending a bullet through the floor.
