Man, 66, Shoots Alleged Attacker in Groin
Edited on Fri Jun-24-11 10:04 PM by Common Sense Party
Arnold Moser, 66, told authorities he was taking his morning walk on South Franklin Road near Airview Road when David Lee Thomas, 24, pulled up alongside him in a vehicle around 5:45 a.m.

Moser said Thomas began using "vulgar" language and told him he needed to get off the roadway. There was a heated exchange, Sheriff Graham Atkinson said.

Moser said Thomas got out of his vehicle and came at him with a fist, at which point Moser fired a single shot and hit Thomas in the groin, Atkinson said.

...Moser generally carries a gun with him when walking, Atkinson said.

6. Mr. Moser needs more range time
Mr. Thomas made a series of poor choices, and paid for it.

7. Maybe not.
We train specifically to make that shot. It's a technique for extremely close quarters that aids in weapon retention. You draw, lock your arm down to your side, rock your body to aim, and fire two shots.
