And here we thought the battery throwing idiotic fans were the biggest issue in stadiums. The recently passed law in the state of Wisconsin allowing people to carry concealed guns has Green Bay police flummoxed. They're not sure if they can legally stop fans from packing heat when entering Lambeau Field. This is one of the most absurd things I've ever seen.

So here's the skinny... The NFL has a policy that prohibits fans from entering any stadium with a gun, but according to Pro Football Talk, Lambeau Field is technically owned by the City of Green Bay and the Green Bay/Brown County Professional Football Stadium District. The NFL may not be able to enforce the policy because the stadium isn't owned by a private company. Yee haw...

The Stadium District's executive director, Pat Webb, said he's not sure what the new law means. "I don't know enough about Wisconsin's specific law to know if the stadiums are exempt or not or can be exempt," Webb said.

According to FOX11, the law does not allow you to carry a concealed gun into a building owned or leased by the state of Wisconsin, but what is Lambeau considered?

Professional football games are not gun free zones. Armed police are present.

Florida has some very reasonable gun laws.

24. I wonder about your rationality, but hey I make my decisions based on my

situation, they make their decisions based on theirs. Since neither one of us are omnipresent, neither one of us know the different situations and have no right to judge. From what I read so far, it would be foolish and dangerous for some of them to make the same decision I have and you expect them to make. If my situation changes, I will act accordingly. In the meantime, mine serves my purpose for now.

If I missed it, please point out where the referenced article contained an authoritative legal opinion rather than supposition. I have no familiarity with Wisconsin's gun laws, but I would be very surprised if the stadium was legally compelled to allow guns if the owner/operator wanted to prevent it.

In fact, an article about the gun law said this, "Private businesses could post signs to keep guns out of their buildings. Signs could also be posted in government buildings, such as city halls and the state Capitol. But guns could not be banned from government-owned grounds, meaning they could be carried on the Capitol lawn or the Milwaukee Public Zoo."

To me, the quoted section of the article seems to say either private or government buildings can be off limits if posted. I would assume a stadium is considered a building and not "grounds."
