SALISBURY - A father who was afraid that his daughter was "having relations" with a boy in the East Rowan High School parking lot was cited for carrying a weapon onto school grounds.

According to the report released by the Rowan Sheriff's Office, Jimmy Hollar, 42, of Rockwell, believed his daughter and a boy were together in the ERHS parking lot on Saturday night just before 11.

Holler grabbed a .22 Marlin/Glenfield rifle, got into his car, and headed towards the school. Someone called deputies to warn them about the potential encounter and when deputies arrived they did find Holler and several other people in the parking lot.

The rifle was found in Holler's car. It was not loaded and Holler did not take it out of the car, according to the report.
