Arrested in the July 3 attack on his 45-year-old mother was Jerome A. Francis, 30, in the first block of Maple Avenue, reported Detective Sgt. Tom McDonough, TPD spokesman.
“The arrestee stated that he was going to go out to a party,” McDonough said. “The mother said that wasn’t a very good idea. They argued. He left. He then came back, where he pointed a silver or chrome revolver at his mother, (and) threatened to kill her. He pointed it directly at her.
“He also broke a glass coffee table with the handgun and punched a hole in the ceiling of the basement with his fist,” McDonough said. “He also opened the cylinder of the revolver, showing the bullet to the mother, saying that he could have shot her.”
