Kids find & fire .22 found at Billy Bob's Wonderland Restaurant WV
Edited on Thu Jul-07-11 04:21 PM by RamboLiberal
A gun went off in Billy Bob’s Wonderland Wednesday afternoon, but no one was injured in the incident, said Cabell County Sheriff Tom McComas.

At the time, about 67 youths, along with employees and adults were inside the restaurant and entertainment center at 5 Cracker Barrel Drive, he said. The Huntington City Mission was having a day camp at the time.

“Some 10-year-olds were waiting to get on a piece of equipment and they found a gun on the floor,” McComas said. “One 10-year-old handed it to another who handed it to another. About the third 10-year-old that touched it, it discharged.

“...We’re not sure how the firearm was introduced into (the area) but there were no injures that resulted from it.”

15. Thanks for underscoring yet again your inability at rational discussion...
...on the subject. Folks like you only serve to further the cause of the pro civil rights crowd on this forum.

Your work and service is greatly appreciated. :)

2. Billy Bob's Wonderland Restaurant at 5 Cracker Barrel Drive?
That's the part you couldn't make up. I can hear the banjo music just reading the article.

The sheriff didn't appear to be especially concerned about the incident. Nobody hurt? Hey, no harm no foul.

For my former state. On the bright side, at least the word roadkill wasn't involved.

As in this case, perhaps.

9. Dope , yeah
And the illegal sale thereof . Probably not a factor in someone finding a discarded 22 . Quite a stretch .

I bet I know how this happened . It was most likely a NRA hat wearing-border violence fueling- teabagging rethug , and he was playing on the slide when it fell out of his pants ....where he had ceremoniously stuffed it before strutting out of the house looking for someone to shoot . That's much more plausible .

Something that could easily be remedied with more funding , more leeway , and the complete backing of the American people . All they really need are tools to help combat crimes like this .

Yes. Of course they did, the little darlings: "It just crawled into my hand -- honest!"

"About the third 10-year-old that touched it, it discharged."

That's because 10-year-old #3 pulled the trigger. Eddie the Eagle, anybody?

And I'm sure the vast majority of gun-owners will scrupulously respect your wishes...

Or will it be one of those magic signs that puts a geas upon those that read it?

32. No I didn't. Someone comes in with a gun, you tell them to leave. If they don't call cops and show

the door in the meantime. Of course, one wouldn't have to enforce it if gun toters are as "law abiding and considerate" as you guys would have us believe.

33. You still haven't answered..
Plan on setting up a metal detector at the door, Hoyt?

Or do you have super-duper x-ray vision to know when someone is carrying concealed?

Of course, one wouldn't have to enforce it if gun toters are as "law abiding and considerate" as you guys would have us believe.

Yes, you'd be assured that only criminals without permits would be carrying. Now, doesn't that make you feel oh so safe? *snort*
