Two of the robbers were taken to the hospital, police said. One person was shot in the stomach and the other in the rear end. Police said that one person was in serious condition and the other in critical condition. A third suspect ran away. He has not been caught.

The homeowner was not arrested. Police said this is an ongoing investigation, but at this time it appears the case fall's under Oklahoma's "Make My Day" law. The law allows homeowners to use deadly force to protect their property.

The law will soon apply to business, too. Governor Mary Fallin signed a bill into law this spring that allows businesses to protect their property with deadly force. It goes it effect Nov. 1.
