NASHVILLE - Facing criticism for failure to expand gun owner rights this year, Republican state legislators have established a task force to set an agenda for passage of pro-gun legislation next year.

All seven members of the (edit: Moran) Republican Caucus Firearms Task Force, appointed last week by House Majority Leader Gerald McCormick, are outspoken proponents of Second Amendment rights.

Two of the members are Rep. Andy Holt, R- (edit-moran) Dresden, who unsuccessfully sponsored a "guns on campus" bill this year, and Rep. Josh Evans, R (edit-moran) Greenbrier, who has unsuccessfully sponsored "guns in cars" bills.

The task force is chaired by Rep. Curry Todd, R-(edit-moran) Collierville, who successfully sponsored (edit - the really stupid) "guns in bars" legislation in 2009 to allow those with carry permits to take their weapons into establishments where alcoholic beverages are served.

The task force is chaired by, Rep Todd Curry, he has been pushing gun legislaiton for some time now, each and every piece of the TN legislation, was written by ALEC, Curry is the TN Chair of ALEC he is also a Board member. US Congress women Blackburn and Black are also members of ALEC...

It is our duty to expose these people:

EXPOSE ALEC LEGISLATORS. Demand the truth about which politicians in your state are in ALEC. Uncover whether YOUR tax dollars are paying ALEC "dues." Expose politicians who accept “scholarships” from ALEC's corporate-funded coffers for fancy trips.

5. GOP promotes gun onership and picks up votes - Democrats promote gun control and lose votes

There are many undecided independent voters who make their decisions on single issues. When it comes to capturing independent gun owners, Democrats have the knack of driving them away.

We need all the votes we can get these days, and some of us are making the task harder than necessary.

...that the GOP'ers beat us to the punch on supporting 2A issues almost every time. I'd be distrustful of us, as a gun owner, as well. Yeah Dems!
