2. Imagine a person who has a family member raped and murdered

that person now depends on the justice system to give them justice but the justice system will bargain away justice and because our system errs on the side of freedom that criminal has a good chance of getting off. The second amendment solution was not used. The second amendment solution is for a man, to be a man, and defend the people he loves at the time they are being victimized and not hiding in the bathroom waiting for the police to arrive as someone rapes his wife in the bedroom.

If you shoot the criminal before he rapes your daughter then the justice system will never be depended on to give you justice. If you have to ask for justice from the justice system you have already failed.

The justice system should be only used when every attempt you made at defending yourself and your family failed. A lot of people today push all of the responsibility of their security onto the police and justice system and when the justice system fails them and allows the badguy to go free they complain as if it is the fault of someone else that they failed to protect themselves and they often call for a violation of the constitutional rights of the criminal or of people on trial in general they claim that the justice system is bad and too soft on criminals. The justice system is designed the way it is because in the past tyrants abused their powers and tortured people and forced confessions, and because the government is sometimes the badguy, we now have a justice system that provides rights to those on trial.

The second amendment solution is your way of avoiding having to depend on the justice system to get justice and to take care of yourself like an adult.

Yes it is a good thing to stop an HIV infected rapist before he dips is dong into your daughter rather than having him on trial for the rape later as she is trying to get her insurance to cover her HIV meds.

But the reich wing's "Second Amendment solutions" suck.
There is no doubt what Rush Limbaugh meant by that phrase,
even though it is in itself a horrible abuse of the 2nd —

Depicting your opponents "Behind enemy lines" with bulls-eyes while calling them "ripe targets" is somehow a completely different metaphor?

When the DNC does it it is just harmless hyperbole, when the other guys do it it is with the specific goal of unhinging a madman. I am so glad you made that clear.
