HAMPTON -- A burglar may have gotten away with money, jewelry, and a gun he stole from a home on West River Point Drive, but not before the 83-year-old homeowner fired a shot at him.

damn rude toter old bastard....and he didn't have his guns properly secured...not only that; he was disabled. At least 2 strikes according to the king mike scale of gun ownership. Maybe three since he discharged a shot into who knows what/where.

2. Some people advocate that the elderly or handicapped/disabled should have no right to own guns.

I wonder what they would have a senior citizen do in a situation like this... if they got their wish in disarming some of society's most vulnerable people.
