Armed man teaches niece, son, and sister-in-law about pistols. Shots fired

at targets. Niece's boyfriend was there too.

An arsenal of pistols and ammunition was on display, including 1 revolver and 3 automatics - one of them a military-style Beretta M92.
No drugs or alcohol were involved, though eye and ear protection were used.

They all learned a lot, and had some fun too. Afterwards, guns were cleaned and locked away without incident.

How many times do we hear stories similiar to this one? Not enough, I think.
What's your opinion?

Though I don't think many would care. And could you blame them?

Lots of other interesting anecdotes and statistics about guns, gun owners, criminals, suicides, murders, gun control, the 2nd amendment, gun use, etc.
Though not always factual like this OP, many can still be educational.

See ya!

8. Reading comprehension problem.
No, just stating the fact that there are approximately 30,000 people killed with firearms every year in this country. The poster didn’t state or even imply they were all murders.

9. And if the OP had stated that his family had enjoyed a nice road trip...
...would it be relevant to cite the number of traffic deaths in the US? I think not.

10. You think not, I think so, IF......
...................................the Topic Forum was Automobiles.

The Topic Forum is GUNS. To comment that there are 30,000 people killed in the US every year with firearms in a Topic Forum titled GUNS, IMO not only is appropriate, but necessary.
The point should also at least occasionally, be raised that not all those people who experience firearm gunshot die. Some are blinded some are paralyzed, there are routinely more than twice as many more victims of gunfire that don’t die but are injured every year.

15. Guilt tripping the sober about drunk driving, eh?
Yes, a lot of people are killed and injured via guns. Trouble is, none (AFAIK), were harmed by jmg257's guns, so what's your
point?

He is no more responsible for the deaths and injuries caused by others guns than you and I are (as computer owners) for
those who commit cybercrime, or I am for those of my fellow car drivers who drive drunk.

And if you are a person who doesn't own a car and uses public transport, I wouldn't guilt trip you about fracking (CNG buses), particulate emissions (diesel buses and trains), or coal-fired power plants (all those nice green electically powered vehicles).

11. Seriously?
You might as well cite Mickey Mouse. The Brady Bunch are as nutty as a Payday bar.

12. Yeah, go rub it in the faces of 18,000 of them that committed suicide.
I'm sure that will go over well.

16. And this has exactly what to do with the OP?
Never mind the fact that the next time the Brady Campaign presents an actual fact instead of something so distorted as to be laughable will be the first, neither their goals nor your garbage headline have jack shit to do with the OP.

18. That number includes suicides.
That number includes suicides. I'm not going to allow policy decisions to be made that negatively affect me out of concern for the suicidal.

I can reload .45ACP for $.05 a shot, as opposed to buying it for $.20 a shot.
