Gun company ad compares Obama to Stalin and Hitler, warns of tyranny
http://www.examiner.com/conservative-in-spokane/gun-company-ad-compares-obama-to-stalin-and-hitler-warns-of-tyranny

An ad produced by the gun company USAAmmo compares President Obama to dictators like Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin and Mao Zedong while warning that "tyranny and gun control is only an election away!"

CBS Washington reports: The USAAmmo ad shows side-by-side pictures of Obama with Hitler, Stalin and other dictators who committed atrocities across the world. The ad, which is also accompanied by a video, warns that gun control is imminent and foreshadows that the U.S. could face millions in casualties if they are not allowed to defend themselves.

"Liberty is at peril every single day and with every breath we take. For 235 years, tyranny in the United States has been held at bay through US Citizen's right to bear arms," the ad warns.

USAAmmo also linked Occupy Wall Street to the liberal effort.

12. He calls it "NRA/GOP douchebaggery" only when it does not agree with...
his religio-orthodoxy of gun prohibitionism.

13. Some do. And some gun-controllers can't believe...
1) A.G. Holder called for renewal of the so-called "assault weapons ban;"
2) House Speaker Pelosi call for renewal of the so-called "assault weapons ban;" and
3) The Demo. Party Platform calls for renewal of the so-called "assault weapons ban."

Preferring, it seems, to believe that there is no longer any issue about guns, and Obama will not institute gun-control if he has the political chance.

Both extremes are wrong, of course.

22. no disrespect but
Who in the hell needs "assault weapons" (or more than ten round magazines, or whatever...) and what for
from people who know nothing about firearms subjects surrounding them is like John McCain questioning my choosing Linux over PC or Mac.

From "The Last King of Scotland," I believe? Idiots just googled and grabbed the first thing they could find. Plus, Obama not a dictator and is not taking guns away. Fail on all counts.

9. Obama has not uttered the word 'gun' since taking office.
These people are destroying what little credibility they have. They are expertly shooting themselves in the foot.

This is what makes being a liberal gun owner so difficult - having douches like this pretending that they represent gun owners at large.

16. Actually he has ...
He suggested improvements to the NICS background check system after the Tucson shooting in an editorial to the Arizona Daily Star.

President Obama: We must seek agreement on gun reforms

***snip***

That's why our focus right now should be on sound and effective steps that will actually keep those irresponsible, law-breaking few from getting their hands on a gun in the first place.

• First, we should begin by enforcing laws that are already on the books. The National Instant Criminal Background Check System is the filter that's supposed to stop the wrong people from getting their hands on a gun. Bipartisan legislation four years ago was supposed to strengthen this system, but it hasn't been properly implemented. It relies on data supplied by states - but that data is often incomplete and inadequate. We must do better.

• Second, we should in fact reward the states that provide the best data - and therefore do the most to protect our citizens.

• Third, we should make the system faster and nimbler. We should provide an instant, accurate, comprehensive and consistent system for background checks to sellers who want to do the right thing, and make sure that criminals can't escape it.

In his editorial he also mentioned that he believes that the "Second Amendment guarantees an individual right to bear arms." and that "almost all gun owners in America are highly responsible." He recognizes that firearms are used for hunting, target shooting, collection and protection and expresses no dislike of these activities or uses.

I fully support the improvements to our laws that he suggested. Many who favor strong gun control were upset that he didn't, at a minimum, call for the ban of high capacity magazines. Of course, those who wish to claim for their own political agenda that in reality he wants another assault weapons ban were also disappointed as they fully expected him to call for one.

11. That's the kind of crap that spurs gun and ammo sales to the vast majority of gun lovers.

Get a bunch of right wing bigots stirred up and they'll run out and add to their cache.
