More gun porn: my new toy

What can I say? I'm just a sucker for anything in a .45 by Colt. And that barrel is the longest 3 inches you'll ever see. 7 plus 1 up the pipe. HEAVEN!

4. The recoil seems to be nop worse than my 1911's
I have to confess that IMO, a 9MM is just a .45 set on stun. The .40 is marginally better: but then, I'm a .45 fanatic.

6. ParaOrdinance has a small
45ACP that holds up to 14 with a pre-ban mag. I thinks it has a 4" pipe.

7. 14 is way cool, but I went to Gunsite and learned a few things
That doesn't make me a pro, but it does make me better than average by a long shot (rimshot).

I recommend the courses to anyone interested in shooting for pleasure, self defense, or both. I'm not sure about the curriculum nowadays. I took my training back in the late 70's under none other than Jeff Cooper. O.K., so I'm bragging a bit, but Cooper is the best ever for defensive handgun use. It's probably his fault that I'm so hooked on .45's.

Didn't you get the memo?

20. Uh....I just practice for pleasure. Yeah! That;s it!
But I gotta admit, after checking my debit card transactions for the last month at Ammo For Less, Sportsman's Guide, Natchez Shooters Supply, etc. shooting is getting less pleasurable.

HELP ME! I CAN'T RESIST THE SARDINE CAN BULK PACKS! THEY'RE CALLING MY NAME! MOMMY! MAKE THEM STOP!

10. Nice carry gun.
Unfortunately, here in MA, the legislature (in their divine wisdom), doesn't allow the sale of that particular "killing machine".

We're supposed to be "civilized" here. :eyes:

15. I like the Kimber, but as noted above
I'm just a Colt guy. But just try to get my Smith Corona 1911 away from me! I once got on a kick to get my hands on a 1911 from every WWII manufacturer. That'll break the bank in a hurry.

18. Speaking of 1911's
I'm just starting a new project 1911. Bought a Springfield WWII commemorative - actually 2 because they were CHEAP (under $400 - new). Got one to keep as is and one to build on. I just ordered the new spring kit and ported barrel. Got a nice set of Millets in the safe. By the time I get done, the frame is about all that will be original. Gonna trick this one out for some serious target work.

19. Man, I'm so jealous
I just bought a car, so no purchases for me in the near future. But $400 for a Springfield WWII commemorative... hmm... that's a great deal. There's probably a major markup for the California market though.

21. I bought 'em in Phoenix.
Luckily, my local "dealer" doesn't charge me to receive from out of state "dealers". I think Big 5 will do the deed for about $25 in the LA area - IF I was told correctly by the storemanager in Phoenix.

24. so that's what a .45 looks like!
It seems -- I dunno -- kind of stubbier-looking than other pistols I've seen. I'm sure it's great, though. It's just that I thought it'd be bigger.

So crazy gun owners can conceal them better. Does the corrupt gun industry have no decency?

25. I was in the market for a concealment .45 and I went with the Glock 36.
It's too bulky...had to get rid of it. Wasn't pleasant to shoot, either.

26. Carried concealed a few times when i was working
Never could get used to it. No matter what i tried to carry it felt big as a barn. Alway felt like it stuck out like a sore thumb, and it was a PPK in 380.

27. Yeah, the PPK is significantly slimmer than the G36.
Admit it...you said "Bond, James Bond" at least once when you owned it.

33. HK's. Yuck.
HK USP's have to be my least favorite name-brand pistols. They are way too fat through the grip. Very uncomfortable in my hand.

They're ugly too. :)

Or maybe it's just me. ;)

36. The compacts are nice
They are much slimmer in the grip, and they are utterly reliable.

Not much to look at though.
