Last chance to correct the record? KKK incident

My neighbor had moved in and found , to his dismay that two black families lived across the street.
He called friends to help figure out what to do.

thier solution was to run those families out of "His" neighborhood.
I was th ehonkey who was a friend to those two families.

I stood in his way.

His kkk buddies stood in my yard and argued with me.
I was unrepentant:
"My Bible says we are all cousins."

The threats resulted in my posting of a thread over my crisis.
My neighbors: blackand white stood teogther and confronted this crisis.
My neighbor's divorce illuminated the situation.

It wasn't me, or any of us, going out of our way to create conflict.
It was one bigot deciding he wanted to live in an all "white" neighborhood.

He is gone.
We are on a "neighborhood watch" (local PD patrol once an hour at our request)

Peace and quiet has returned.
(and we all get along a little bit better as a result of the incident)

thanks folks/ today a self described Klansman visited me
He told me he would be back tonight.
During our 'friendly' discussion,
He mentioned a couple of his buddies in the local PD could run my plate and list any other residence I might have.
("Fraternity brothers" Like in Kappa Kappa Kappa)
Next door neighbor came over and avowed "We in this neighborhood stand together."
"Friendly visit" ended.
Maybe my visitor's buddies ran my neighbor's plate.
About an hour later, loud sound of someone beating on my neighbor's door, followed by yelling from my neighbor's house. Then two squad cars pulled up. One drove off with him in handcuffs.
Local PD removed the guy who'd vowed to stand by me!
