PHILADELPHIA (KYW 1060) Police are investigating a shooting outside Dobbins High School in North Philadelphia.

They say 18-year-old James Boon was shot in the head at 22nd and Lehigh Ave., just as hundreds of students were leaving school at the end of the day.

The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Many of Dobbins' 1,600 students were herded into the school's auditorium just after the shooting as the school put its safety plan into effect. Once police secured the area, the students were permitted to leave.

Title it, Defensive gun use - week of Jan 2-8. At the end of the week I'll lock it up and we can start again. Kinda like the guns in the news threads we had for ages. When you post, include some bastardization of the rules they included in those threads...
