Qassam hits strategic facility near Ashkelon

A Qassam rocket hit a strategic facility in the Ashkelon area Friday. It was not immediately clear whether the attack caused damage.

Facilities in the Ashkelon area include a power station.

One person in the Carmia area north of Gaza was treated for shock in the wake of another rocket attack. Palestinians fired a total of five Qassam rockets at Israel on Friday.

Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the rocket fire, Israel Radio reported.
