"Palestinian sources in Gaza say that seven family members were hurt after their home in the northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Hanoun was directly hit by an IDF shell Saturday afternoon.
According to the report, a 40-year-old mother and a five-year-old son suffered serious injuries in the shelling.
The IDF said that troops responded with artillery fire at rocket launching sites used by terrorists Friday. Military officials said they are looking into reports about the injured Palestinians.
