WHOA! Non Aligned Movement MAY BAN ISRAELI SETTLERS FROM NAM COUNTRIES

Tel Aviv, 14 Sept. (AKI) - Israeli officials are reportedly worried about a possible decision by countries participating in the summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), currently being held in the Cuban capital, Havana, to ban Israeli tourists and products from entering their countries. In a report on the Arabic language London-based daily, Al-Quds Al Arabi, Western diplomats described as being friends of Israel, suggest that a resolution will be taken at the summit, banning Israeli tourists who live in the West Bank from entering the countries of Non-Alignment Movement.

The Al-Quds Al Arabi report quoted Ouri Yablonka, a reporteR with Maariv, an Israeli newspaper, as saying that the Israeli foreign ministry received letters from India and Thailand, stating that the two countries had decided to ban Jewish settlers living in the West Bank from entering their countries, to protest the fact that they were living in territory taken from the Palestinians after the war of 1967.

There are over 100 NAM member countries!

Looks like the NAM is no longer irrelevant. The NAM is also seeking to declare Israel and the U.S. as terrorist states. For more info, see: http://journals.democraticunderground.com/berni_mccoy/81

8. They should. Our behavior in Iraq has been over a much shorter...
...period of time but it is no-less-equally damnable. I think the Occupation of Palestine has gone on so long that everyone, even those countries who are very very far from the place, already know very well what Israel is doing under the guise of defense. This sort of isolation just feeds the conservadox self-imposed isolation and xenophobia which is tracking all dirt and blood all over the image of Judaism worldwide. Not like that matters much to the conservadox who don't even view more moderate views of Judaism, much less Gentiles, as legitimate.

The reason why they don't molest the United States over our far-bloodier ideologically-unsound military misadventures is that we keep spreading the money, tanks, jets, dare I say it: blue jeans, and syndicated TV shows around. But money is the big one. I believe we should cut out all foreign aid. We might, as a nation, have to earn respect and emulation of our democratic system through example, in the case. And that's not something America is particularly good at, at the moment.

2. What a treat for them.
What is their position on accepting Palestinians? So few countries welcome them. Are they opening their borders and arms to these wonderful, generous, peaceful people?

Let me know how many they plan to admit.
