the IDF launched 42 seperate attacks on palestinians in the west bank and gaza between sept 14-20. thats an average of 6 attacks a day.

it is clear who the victim and who the oppressor is.

Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) Escalate Attacks on Palestinian Civilians and Property in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT)


3 Palestinians were killed by IOF in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
One of the victims was extra-judicially executed by IOF in the West Bank.

A child died from a previous wound she had sustained when IOF killed her father and brother.

10 Palestinian civilians, including 7 children and a woman, were wounded by the IOF gunfire.
*
IOF have continued to launch air strikes on houses in the Gaza Strip; 4 houses were destroyed in Rafah.
*
IOF conducted 42 incursions into Palestinian communities in the West Bank, and 4 others into the Gaza Strip.
*
IOF arrested 52 Palestinian civilians, including a child and a woman, in the West Bank, and two civilians in the Gaza Strip.
*
IOF raided the Jordanian National Bank in Nablus, and 11 money exchange shops in 4 West Bank towns.
*
IOF have continued to impose a total siege on the OPT; IOF have imposed a tightened siege on the Gaza Strip; and IOF positioned at a various checkpoints in the West Bank arrested 7 Palestinian civilians.
*
IOF have continued to construct the Annexation Wall in the West Bank; they issued a military order to construct a new section of the Wall near ‘Azzoun ‘Atma village, south of Qalqilya; and they violently beat 8 demonstrators protesting the construction of the Wall in Bal’ein village near Ramallah.

Israeli settlers have continued to attack Palestinian civilians and property in the OPT; Israeli settlers attacked a family in Hebron.

all the nice talk about one man, who killed several people, being sentenced, and yet this goes on with impunity in Hebron.

2. How come the PCHR does not call for an end to Palestinian terrorism?

Several of the recent operations by the IDF were directed at suspected tunnels used for smuggling weapons.
Another recent operation was directed at people providing funding for terror attacks.

3. do you denounce Israeli terror -- which is far, far worse?

I do believe that terrorism by Palestinian groups should stop. Among other reasons it is counterproductive.

If anyone doubts which side practices by far the most terror they should check the records of a broad cross section of the organizations that monitor these things from both sides:

4. Israel does not engage in terrorism

One can accuse Israel of using http://www.camera.org/index.asp?x_context=7&x_issue=2&x_article=189 , but please do not confuse terrorism with counter-terrorism.

In my view it is morally indefensible to equate the deterrent measures taken by Israel with Palestianian suicide bombings and rocket attacks that deliberately target civilians.

Unfortunately, many of the strategies employed by Israel will most likely continue until the Palestinians end their terrorist attacks and formally recognize Israel and their right to exist.

On the human rights front, it is very fortunate that Israel is a thriving democracy.
All the concerns you noted are debated,voted, and acted upon on a regular basis.
