Jewish angry over prize plan
Australian Jewish Community leaders are campaigning against Sydney's Premier Bob Carr who will present a peace prize from Sydney University to Palestinian leader Hanan Ashrawi next month.

Mr Carr has written to the Australian Jewish News that he believes it is approppriate for him to present the award, but Australian Israel and Jewish Affairs Council spokesman Colin Rubinstein said Ms Ashrawi was an "incendiary who has given unyielding support to violence."

A Sydney University spokesman said Ms Ashrawi was awarded the prize "for her commitment to human rights and the peace process in the Middle East."
---

What is wrong with giving Hanan Ashrawi a peace prize? I have listened to her being interviewed many times in the past and I don't think she's an "incendiary" at all. I think Hanan Ashrawi and Marwan Barghouti would be very good for a future Palestinian leadership!

5. Sorry,
I tried before I posted the story. Don't know how to find it. I don't think all stories in a newspaper are ever on the website, are they? Maybe Rupert Murdoch can help you.

11. It's a Murdoch rag..
Of course you have to pay to register to read something. I think you have to purchase the articles. I've got a print copy of the Australian available if I get off my butt and walk down to where they keep all the newspapers on my floor at work, but I'm too lazy to do it right now :)
