Palestinians settle old scores in Gaza

AZA (Reuters) - A gunman on a motorbike shot dead a fellow Palestinian near a Gaza hospital on Monday as militants settled scores with those suspected of collaboration with Israel, which is carrying out air strikes against Hamas.

Witnesses said the gunman fired three times into the head and chest of a man who fled from detention on Sunday after an Israeli air attack blew up the security complex housing Gaza's main prison.

The police stations of Hamas Islamists who control Gaza have been destroyed by air strikes, but armed militants are out on the streets of the city.

Residents said a second suspected collaborator who also fled the prison was shot by relatives of a militant whose death was blamed on Israeli collaborators.

They have been purging Gaza like that ever since they took over. Fatah, PA, Christian it doesn't matter. Trials not required. They call you a traitor and execute you on the spot.

Yr using the term as a term of contempt rather than with any accuracy. The political ideology of Hamas is one of religious nationalism, which is no surprise considering it's an Islamist party. And as with most, if not all religious nationalism, it's pretty damn ugly and not something I could even bring myself to support for any reason. Though I'm wondering if me pointing out that Hamas isn't a fascist group makes me a Hamas supporter in yr opinion....
