Gaza crisis: key maps and timeline
Edited on Fri Jan-09-09 05:33 AM by edwardlindy

Israeli forces are conducting an offensive against Hamas in Gaza by land, sea and air, while Palestinian rockets continue to hit Israel.

Palestinian medical sources say nearly 700 Palestinians have been killed since the violence began on 27 December 2008. Six Israeli soldiers have been killed in the ground offensive, while three civilians and a soldier have died as a result of rocket fire from Gaza.

The default map below shows developments in the conflict within the past 24 hours - and clicking on the button reveals the main areas attacked since the violence began.

Of interest to some I'd guess. Gets updated daily - think so anyway. It was only a few days ago that I realised how small the strip is - 27km long by an average of 4km wide.
